Huagra Corral is a restored country house, located on the main entrance to Cotopaxi National Park, 44Km down to the South of Quito, following the Pan American Highway.
Its founder is Rommel, a local entrepreneur that in 1996 at the age of 21, decided to open a cafeteria to provide tourists a warm drink and comfortable atmosphere.

Huagra Corral is settled in the Community of Santa Rita, before known as Huagra Corral because of the paramount cattle that used to live in the area. The name was changed with the arrival of the image of Saint Rita, to whom the community is devoted. Each year, the people of surroundings is still celebrating festivities in honor of the saint.
Huagra Corral was established in January 1996 in a field where its topographic structure was irregular, the cliff Leopoldo Lema was a frightening area for locals because of a belief of an elf that scared drunk or curious men. This is part of the magic and charm that Huagra Corral has to offer, now gently, to its visitors.
As mentioned before, Huagra Corral started as a cafeteria, and then Rommel and Susana began offering the lodging service. When you visit Huagra Corral, you will notice immediatly about the love, patience and attention involved in the creation and developing of this dream. Their aim is to become visitors into house friends. Now Huagra Corral is the perfect place to start your journey to the Cotopaxi Volcano.
Rommel 
Owner and manager, he is the head of the team. Rommel likes cooking, interior design, gardening and construction. Most of the things we have at Huagra Corral have been designed and made by him. Currently he is finishing his Business Administration studies.
Susana 
Rommel´s wife, she cares of her family and Huagra Corral. She got a BA in Hospitality Management and is the Administrative Manager. She is always aware of our guests and friends needs.
Martin 
The first son of the couple, he helps in any area is required. He like cooking too, but he knows his main responsibility is to study.
Tabata 
Tabata is the younger daughter. She likes music and dancing. She dances in big events at Huagra Corral.
William Ibujes 
He is the maintenance responsible and cooperates with the entire team and guests in order to provide a great experience to our guests.
Paola Moreno 
William´s wife, is in charge of service at Huagra Corral. She is an excellent housekeeper.
Fernanda Ibujes
Willi and Paola´s little daughter, she plays around at Huagra Corral.
